Abu Dhabi
Important Announcement for Passengers travelling to/from UAE:
1. All passengers except UAE residents, holding a passport with a single name on it won't be allowed to travel to/from the UAE.

2. Passengers with an existing work permit or residence visa having a single name on their passport will be allowed, given that their same name is updated in both the 'First Name' and 'Surname' columns.

3. Passengers having two names on the passport in any of the columns of the first page will be allowed entry.

4. Passengers who already hold a valid tourist visa issued in the past with one name on the passport, can cross-check the acceptance by sending an email to - [email protected]
5. Newly issued employment visa in paper form with one name in the passport will not be allowed to travel.
6. The UAE government will not issue tourist visa to passengers holding passport with single name.
7. Passengers arriving in UAE on tourist/visit visa should have a confirmed return or onward journey ticket.
8. Due to terminal change, passengers travelling to Abu Dhabi and connecting to any onward carriers are required to hold a valid UAE visa (tourist/visit/transit) or should be eligible to get Visa On Arrival.
For passengers from India to Abu Dhabi:
1. Only the following categories of passengers will be allowed entry to Abu Dhabi
i. Holders of all type of visa and/or entry permission granted by the appropriate authority in the United Arab Emirates with valid proof of WHO approved vaccination and generate QR code from the Federal Authority For Identity and Citizenship (https://smartservices.ica.gov.ae/echannels/web/client/guest/index.html#/registerArrivals or register on the ICA Smart UAE APP (Click to download – Android & iOS versions of the ICA Smart App)) (i.e., valid resident visa, employment visa, short stay/long stay visa, visit visa, residence visa newly issued from Abu Dhabi only).
2. Visa on arrival facility is available for Indian Nationals travelling to Abu Dhabi provided they:
i. have a visitor visa or a green card issued by the Unites States, or
ii. a residence visa issued by the United Kingdom or Europe union
3. All passengers are also required to download the UAE Fast Track on their smart phones.

Dubai

For Passengers from India to Dubai:
Effective 05th AUG 21, the UAE government has approved the following categories of passenger's entry into the UAE:
1. Valid Dubai resident visa holders and UAE nationals.
2. Dubai visa holders must apply for pre‑entry approval through the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) via link https://smart.gdrfad.gov.ae/Smart_OTCServicesPortal/ReturnPermitService.aspx and hold a “Return Permit for Resident outside UAE form”
3. The Crew of the Foreign Air Operators, operating freighter/cargo flights from the aforesaid countries to Dubai, are permitted to enter the Emirate of Dubai, provided that the crew movement is limited to the movement between Dubai International Hotel (DIH) and the airport without coming into close contact with persons within the community.
4. Approval granted by the GDRFA before 5th August 2021 will NOT be acceptable.
5. Passengers are recommended to carry a vaccination certificate if available.

Malé - Maldives
For passengers from India to Male
The following categories of passengers will be allowed to enter in Male:
1. Tourists
2. Maldivian Nationals
3. Special Visa Holders
4. Business Visa Holders
5. Foreign diplomats and their accompanying family members
6. Crew of ships who arrive by air to sign on to a ship
7. Holders of a valid work permit or work visa
8. Holders of any other resident permit of Maldives
Passengers Obligations:
Tourist Visa
A tourist visa is granted for all nationalities on arrival to the Maldives. As such, a foreigner travelling to Maldives as a tourist does not require pre-approval for the visa. However, the person must satisfy the basic entry requirements to get immigration clearance upon arrival.The basic entry requirements are as follows;
1. A passport or a travel document with Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) with at least 1-month validity. (Passengers with an extended validity in their passports are not allowed to enter.)
2. A complete travel itinerary including return journey confirmed tickets, with a prepaid confirmed hotel booking at a registered hotel, or provide proof of financial means for sufficient funds to support the stay in Maldives, or hold a pre-approved visa sponsorship Maldives Immigration.
3. Entry requirements to their onward destinations; for example, the visa and passport validity.
4. Traveller Declaration must be filled in and submitted by all travelers travelling to and from Maldives within 96 hours to the flight time. The form has to be submitted electronically via IMUGA.
5. Children/minors must have their own passports to enter the Maldives.
Work Visa
Work Visa is a permit issued for a foreigner to stay in Maldives for the purpose of employment.
A person traveling to the Maldives for the purpose of employment will be granted 15 days from the date of arrival. In order to acquire this pre-period, the foreign national should possess a valid Work Permit issued by the Ministry of Economic Development, which does not exceed 90 days from the date of issue. Moreover, the foreign national should provide the same passport on arrival for which the Work Permit was issued. Re-entry on a Work Permit without obtaining a visa is possible unless the Work Permit remains valid (within 90 days from the date of issue).
The consequences for not obtaining a visa within the mentioned period results in penalization under the Immigration Act 1/2007, which include deportation from Maldives for overstaying.
Entry Requirements for Work Visa;
1. A machine-readable (MRZ) Passport Bio-data page copy of the applicant (At least 1 Year validity).
2. A valid Work Permit not exceeding 90 days from the date of arrival.
3. Travelers should provide the same passport mentioned in the Work Permit.
4. Passengers travelling on a work visa must verify their visa status on https://xpat.egov.mv/
5. Traveler Health Declaration, submitted within 48 hours prior to departure from the first port of embarkation. You may submit the form electronically via IMUGA.
For passengers transiting from Male:
Transit travellers are defined as those travelling to another country via Maldives without clearing Maldives' arrival immigration.
A complete travel itinerary (return journey confirmed tickets, prepaid confirmed hotel booking at a registered hotel, if not provide proof of financial means for sufficient funds to support the stay in Maldives) does not guarantee entry to Maldives. Entry will be granted at the port of entry after the determination of admissibility by Immigration officers, as in accordance with Sections 7 and 8 of The Maldives Immigration Act 2007.
For passengers travelling from Male to India:
1. All departing passengers and airline crew must complete the online Traveler Health Declaration form for departure. The Health Declaration form for departure must be submitted before the time of departure but not exceed 24 (twenty-four) hours before the time of departure. The online traveler Health Declaration form is available from the Maldives Immigration website portal https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv/

2. Effective from 27 September 2021 UAE Residents do not require to obtain prior UAE Entry Approval from Federal Authority for identity and Citizenship of UAE
3. UAE Residents are only requested to provide one of the Vaccination Certificate approved by the World Health Organization WHO by entering the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship link https://smartservices.ica.gov.ae under Register Arrivals to get the QR code issued by the website before arrival to Sharjah.
4. Passengers must use UAE fast track and download ICA UAE apps on their mobile devices.

Thailand
For Passengers travelling from India to Thailand:
Effective from October 1, 2022, Thailand CCSA has announced that the Visa on Arrival stay period will be extended from 15 days to 30 days. This change is currently in effect until 31st March 2023. Please Click here to know more about the instructions for visa on arrival required in Thailand.
1. The following details are required to avail visa on arrival for Thailand.
a. Passport (not less than 30 days)
b. Purpose of touring (not more than 15 days)
c. Return ticket (not over 15 days)
d. Immigration card (arrival and departure)
e. Document for Hotel Booking
f. Visa fee is 2200THB only (cash) / Non-refundable
g. THB 10,000 currency or 400 USD/person
h. THB 20,000 currency or 800 USD/family
2. All passengers must show a full vaccination certificate on arrival, effective from 9th Jan 2023.
3. Non-Thai passengers travelling from India need to carry health insurance.
4. RT-PCR, Rapid Antigen Test(RAT), or Antigen Test (ATK) services are available for Covid-19 at Suvarnabhumi airport.
5. Passengers should continue protective measures, such as keeping a physical distance of at least one meter from other people and wearing a face mask in congested areas.

7. Passengers with a single vaccine dose (except Janssen, Sputnik Light and V-01) must carry additional COVID-19 infection evidence.
8. Exemption from vaccine certificate-
a. Thai passport holders.
b. Children aged below 18 years.
c. COVID-19 recovery during 7-90 days before departure.
