As the aviation industry goes the extra mile to make traveling safer, Go First has left no stone unturned. Your safety is our priority. As we care for your health and wellbeing, here are a few tips that can help you have a hassle-free travel experience amidst this new normal.
Make sure you are healthy to travel
It is important that you are healthy and not prone to any illness before you think of booking a flight. This can also help you clear all screening procedures at the airport such as thermal screening. A Green status on the Aarogya Setu app is mandatory for you to enter the airport. In case you feel unwell when you reach the airport, Go First staff can guide you to a local airport authority/doctor. Once you get a clearance from the doctor, you can board the flight.
Maintain good hygiene
Wash or sanitize your hands regularly before you leave for the airport. Wear a mask all throughout the journey. If you are using tissues, then discard them carefully. Avoid touching your face, especially eyes, nose, and mouth. At Go First, we understand the need for personal hygiene and hence, passengers flying with us are allowed to carry a bottle of hand sanitizer of up to 350 ml.
Equip yourself with safety gear
In your cabin bag, you can add your own PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) kit that can contain an extra face mask, hand sanitizer, hand wipes, disposable gloves, and a small garbage bag for disposal. Go First has got you covered too. Before boarding, we provide a safety kit to passengers that includes 3 ply face mask, a face shield and hand sanitizer.
Maintain social distancing
At the airport, you will find social distancing markers. Please make sure you follow these markers and maintain proper distance. This is to ensure you have contact-less flying experience.
Know before you go
It is imperative that you know about the current rules and regulations of the state before you go. All states and cities have their own set of state-wise guidelines Please ensure you check the state-wise regulation/quarantine guidelines, E-pass and or any other regulations of the city/state you are traveling to for a hassle-free travel experience.
Plan your travel from your home to the airport
At Go First, we want you to have a seamless check-in and boarding process. Hence, arriving at the airport 3 hours early before departure is advisable.
Think about what luggage to carry
Consider carrying the least amount of luggage. Canvas totes or carry-ons are a good option as these are easier to disinfect. You can also add a layer of disposable covering on your luggage that can be discarded later. Go First now has a baggage allowance of just one cabin bag and one check-in bag. The cabin bag should not weight more than 7 kg and the check-in bag should not weigh more than 15 kg.
